FATIMA

Day 1. Depart JFK/Newark for Lisbon

Day 2. Arriving in Lisbon, we begin our pilgrimage with stops at the city's 12th century Santa Maria Major Cathedral and the boyhood home of St. Anthony of Padua. We then continue to one of the world's oldest cities, Santarem, to see the church of St. Stephen, home of the earliest recorded Eucharistic Miracle

Day 3. The focus of our Fatima pilgrimage is to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima (May 13) or the anniversary of the last apparition (October13) and partake in the day's celebrations and festivities. There will be opportunities for confession in addition to the International Mass, Rosary and Anniversary Procession

Day 4  You have the option of retreat days in Fatima or optional excursions to the 14th century monastery of Batalha, (a UNESCO World Heritage site), the 12th century Gothic monastery in Alcobaza, and Nazare, where we will visit the Sanctuary holding a Medieval statute depicting a pregnant Mary and located at the top of cliffs that have a breathtaking view of the Atlantic

Day 5 This morning, we will enjoy a guided tour of the visionaries' homes in the Hamlet of Aljustrel. We will visit Valinhos, where Mary appeared to the visionaries after they returned from prison, and drink from the sacred well as well as the church where the visionaries were baptized. In the afternoon, we visit the Basilica and the graves of Francesco, Maria Lucias and Jacinta

Day 6 You will have the option of a retreat day in Fatima or excursion to Porto, home of "Port" wines. We will see the Ponte D. Luis, the Ribeirinha district, the Palacio da Bolsa and visit San Francisco church with its 13th century state of St. Francis and elaborate, baroque interior

Day 7. Depart Fatima for JFK/Newark
