Catholic prayer request
Jesus says we are gonna live not on food, but by every word that comes from God's mouth. He indicates that this physical nurturing, while important, is not what sustains us as humans. But our sanity, our self-esteem, our standing as people depend on the assuredness that we are ultimately loved and corrected by God, our foundation.
We pray because we need Him, because we are aware of our sins, because we understand that the Bible points to the source of all life, God, and his Son appointed to give us life again. We pray to confess, we pray asking to be corrected, to be forgiven and to receive His love.
